Alyson Vanya, MSN, RN, CPNP-PC

Hello! My name is Alyson Vanya. I was born and raised in Woodville, Texas. I am a 2008 graduate of Texas A&M University and have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology - Gig ‘Em Aggies! I then attended Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Nursing and have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I worked as a pediatric oncology nurse from 2010 until I became a Nurse Practitioner in 2018. I worked at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, was a travel nurse in Boston, New York and San Francisco and lastly worked at Texas Children’s Hospital while I completed NP school. I got my Master of Science in Nursing at Texas Tech HSC and am a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.

I have been married for 5 years to my
wonderful husband, Mitchell and we have two precious children - a 3 year daughter and 18 month old son. My family is my world and the joy of my life!

I have always loved children and have always wanted a career in service where I was able to help people daily and make a real difference. Nursing was such a natural career choice for me when I realized I could specialize in pediatrics. I have now been a pediatric nurse practitioner for 7 years and I can’t imagine any other job being as rewarding as this one!
